ski like a girl and the secret of the U.S. Ski Team Uniform

This may or may not be what the US Ski Team is wearing for the Closing Ceremony at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Unlike the U.S Snowboarding team who has been very open about their Burton team uniform, the ski team has been pretty hush, hush. So Shhhh! Don't tell anyone that you got this from me.

The Facts:
We do know that the U.S. athletes will once again be sporting red, white and blue and a polo pony. Given that those are our countries national flag colors and Ralph Lauren's propensity for the polo pony I'd say that is pretty obvious! Ralph Lauren designed the U.S. uniforms for the Beijing Olympics in 2008, and now he's at it again for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

About Ralph Lauren:

"What began forty years ago with a collection of ties has grown into an entire world, redefining American style. Ralph Lauren has always stood for providing quality products, creating worlds and inviting people to take part in our dream. We were the innovators of lifestyle advertisements that tell a story and the first to create stores that encourage customers to participate in that lifestyle."

Wait this is seeming more official:

I found a clip of the Closing Ceremony uniform being unveiled on NBC's Today Show.

For the Closing Ceremony the athletes will be wearing a red and blue cardigan with USA on the back and the Team USA logo on the front, a classic American newsboy cap with modern flair, a plaid shirt for men, and navy turtleneck for the ladies and alpine boots that will stand up to any type of weather with the Team USA logo on the side.

Make sure and enter your email address at the bottom of the Ralph Lauren page to be the first to find out what the Opening Ceremony Uniform will be. Of course, ski like a girl registered so check back here and I'll let you know.

xoxo,
ski girl
