Lindsey Vonn As Sharon Stone In Basic Instinct for ESPN Magazine (Yes, THAT Scene)

I'm not sure what I really think about this. Lindsey, you were super hot in Sports Illustrated last year and you certainly are gorgeous in this ESPN Magazine cover shot, but this may be a little too much for some of your younger female fans and uummm me.

What am I talking about here? Well, you do recognize this scene from Basic Instinct? And of course you do know what happens next, don't you? In case you forgot or somehow missed this movie classic you can find a link to the original by searching, “Basic Instinct: Interrogation Scene”. Warning this is not PG13 my young ski like a girl friends. The crossing and uncrossing of Sharon Stone's legs and her lack of undergarments is burned into the memory of many a film-goer.

All I can say is this, Lindsey, I hope that you are wearing your Under Armour!

Lindsey Vonn wins the World Cup Downhill Title

German skier Maria Riesch beat Lindsey Vonn in the World Cup downhill event Wednesday, though the American is still on track to win her 33rd World Cup title, beating Bode Miller's 32-title record. Go Lindsey!

I got 2nd today in the DH race and received the crystal globe for winning the overall DH title. It is always a good day when you are on the podium especially when it is the end of the season and you are trying to lock up an overall title. Going into today my focus was on the overall world cup title and my goal was to ski solid and not risk to much. I knew before my run that Maria was leading by over a second in the finish so my plan was to ski solid and make sure I finished staying as close to Maria as possible. If I can do the same thing in one of the next 3 days/races the overall title will be finished. Tactic tactics tactics! Its not always the most fun way to race, but sometimes you have to do it if you want to win season long titles. Tomorrow is the last GS race of the season 1st run starts at 9am European time I run #27. You can catch the action on www.universalsports.com LV :)

Lindsey Vonn wins the World Cup Super Combined Title

Just turned on Universal Sports to find out the Super Combined is canceled.  There was talk of adding a Slalom after tomorrow's regular Downhill but that isn't going to happen now.

Winning the super combined title!

 Today at 9:15am

The Super Combined race was cancelled today due to high winds. As a racer you want the races to be safe and fair so I think the officials made the right decision in cancelling. Here is what the FIS website wrote on the matter - "The Jury has unanimously decided to cancel today's Ladies' Super Combined in Crans-Montana (SUI) according to the rules. Due to the fact that there is no reserve day available, the SC will not be replaced. The further program in Crans -Montana will stay as scheduled, Saturday DH and Sunday SG." So I think that means I won the Super Combined title! Obviously this isn't the way I wanted to win the title, but I will take it none the less. It's an outdoor sport and anything can happen. Sometimes these decisions go your way like in this case, and sometimes they don't its just part of our sport. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow for the DH!

Bid on Skis Signed by Gold Medal Winner Lindsey Vonn!

Lindsey then decided to do a good deed by donating them to help raise funds for Haiti. She autographed the skis and poles, and now Ellen is putting them up for auction on eBay! You can win these one-of-a-kind skis signed by an Olympic gold medalist, and help relief efforts in Haiti at the same time -- so start bidding!

100% of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

Lindsey Vonn's on Ellen today!

Even with an injury from just days before the Olympics, Lindsey Vonn skied her way to a gold medal during the games. Right after leaving Vancouver, she stopped by the show to tell Ellen all about her big win and the challenges she faced.

Lindsey Vonn is hurt but still competing in Ladies' Slalom

Lindsey Vonn broke her pinkie in this crash during her 1st GS run but that won't stop her from racing today.  Team doc's have  diagnosed her injury as a cracked proximal phalanx of the little finger.  This is at the base of the pinkie, where it connects to the hand. Do you ski?  Think about how you grip a ski pole.  Now think about Lindsey's injury..... Ouch!

What would you do if you broke your pinkie?

Go skiing?  What about competing?  Lindsey isn't known for letting injuries hold her back, think back to the "shin".   A broken pinkie will make it tough to grip a ski pole, but Lindsey has overcome this sort of thing before.  She raced the end of the season with her pole taped to her glove after slicing her thumb open on a champagne bottle last February.

lindsey vonn Just got off the training hill. SL training was OK, I still feel pretty beat up after my crash in GS yesterday. I was able to modify one of my gloves and make a brace for my right hand. It seemed to work without too much pain, so I will try and race tomorrow in the SL. Thanks for all of the support I appreciate it! xoxo LV

A lot is being made of Julia Mancuso and Lindsey Vonn's relationship.  Teammates, friends, former friends, frienemies, out right rivals, which is it?

Frienemies:  a blurred friendship; a friend and a rival or enemy.  Julia and Lindsey, frienemies?  Do we care?  Not really. I'm with Julia leave the drama behind and focus on the skiing. They are both incredible skiers.  Shouldn't the focus be on that? This isn't The Real World Whistler it's the Olympics. Sorry about that broken finger Lindsey. Good luck today Jules!

Lindsey Vonn has a non-displaced fracture of the proximal phalanx of the small finger on her right hand.  A decision whether she will take part in Friday’s slalom has not been made.

Drama on the GS course at Whistler

Lindsey Vonn crashes on the GS coarse this morning in Whistler.  Julia Mancusco was the next in the gates to ski. Due to weather conditions the skiers were starting one minute apart.

Julia was forced to stop and restart the race because Lindsey was still on the side of the course. Julia, the defending champion, then had to make her way back up to the top of the course for a later start.  She finished 18th after her first run..

"that yellow flag in the GS was such... I just want to scream. I'm really miffed. Anyway, gotta take that energy and focus it for 2nd run."

Vonn said she felt terrible for her teammate.

"She's mad. She's frustrated. She's probably mad at me," Vonn said of her teammate. "I feel terrible, and I hope she understands. I definitely didn't want that to happen."

Stay focused Julia!  ski like a girl is rooting for you.

ski like a girl: It's time for the Super-G

In an interview Friday morning with Fox Business Network, Lindsey Vonn said her shin was "hurting me and is a distraction, but I don't think it's actually hampering my skiing. I think I'm still able to ski the way I want to."

Even if they are old? "No!", she enthused.

Which one are you on?

We know they can ski but the really important question seems to be, Lindsey Vonn or Julia Mancuso, who's hotter?  Just kidding.  It's all about the skiing around here.  The super G starts at 10 am with one of my favorites, Jules!  Yes, Julia Mancuso is in bib #1 and she has a plan!
