Remember her from Turino?

 

TURINO TRAGEDY

She was at the center of one of the most unforgettable moments of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin. Leading the snowboardcross final by what seemed an insurmountable lead, she attempted a trick on the last jump, only to fall and watch Switzerland's Tanja Frieden claim the gold medal. She remained philosophical about the fall. "Snowboarding is fun. I was ahead. I wanted to share my enthusiasm with the crowd. I messed up. Oh well, it happens." (foxtel.com.au, 26 Nov 2009)

I love this video! It's my mountain, Mt.Hood. Isn't it beautiful? And yes it's a glacier so we still ski in the summer!

As you may know I'm definitely a girl who loves to glam it up (check out my first blog post). So you can only imagine how happy I was to find I wasn't the only ski girl (snowboard girl) to feel this way! I love the Gucci shoes that Kelly is wearing and love, love Gretchen's Dolce and Gabbana Dress.

p.s.  I'm wearing my Gucci's as I write this post.  Probably won't need them at the mountain this weekend.  And yes, I am skiing this weekend!  Don't exactly have the all clear from the Doc but my range of motion is good, pain level is tolerable, and I haven't skied in such very a long time.  I'll be careful, my shoulder will be fine! (famous last words)
